VietNamNet Bridge - Living far from Vietnam since 1974 when he began study abroad in Japan, Le Viet Hao always thought of the homeland and dreamed of returning to Vietnam.

In his “Envision” software, Mr Hao has designed a 14-subject column about Vietnam including festivals, landscapes, business people and fashion not only to satisfy his love of Vietnam but also to realize his aspiration to advertise Vietnam images to the world.

Now Chairman of the Content Interface Corporation (Canada) specializing in designing software, he returned to Vietnam 3 months ago and set up the Network Company to train and support Vietnamese IT engineers to approach international standards.

By a simple click on a unique interface, Internet users can explore a lot of information relating to Vietnamese landscapes with videos and images. For example, by clicking on Ha Long Bay, hundreds of photos of the bay will appear along with articles about its history, sightseeing, geography, people, hotels and restaurants.

He usually brings his digital camera to record unforgettable moments during his travels about the people, life and land. On this year’s trip to Phu Tho province in the third lunar month to commemorate the Hung Kings, the first of the ethnic Viet kings who set up the Van Lang state of Viet people thousands year ago, he was very happy when catching the spirit of the supernatural.

“The time in Phu Tho was not enough for me, I will return and discuss with Hung Vuong Museum staff about introducing such a meaningful festival on the website as soon as possible”, he said.

He is going to realize his idea by designing educational software that will be more effective and attractive for youth intended to compete with the charm of online games. The software will reduce study time by 5-10 times for learners, especially via videos and interesting sounds.

Graduated from the University of Japan, he has worked for IT firms in Japan and Canada before setting up his own company. At age 52, he dreams of contributing to national socio-economic development.

In Viet Network, he wishes to produce complete software for exporting, instead of doing partly for foreign customers.

He said that he is working with Vietnam Committee for overseas Vietnamese Affairs in designing a program for learning Vietnamese online.
